How make bool tag from word/int request?

I'm interested in a similar issue as #295.
A company has a controller that outputs Boolean variable states via Modbus as holding registers grouped into word/integer, %MW10.0...%MW10.15 .
For analyzing emergency situations and for comparing trends of values ​​and states, it would be better to be able to store Boolean variables separately.
Is it possible to store these states as pure Boolean variables? Or only as integers and display them via a mask on the mnemonic diagram?

How about this:

• Create a new, "Internal" device
• Make internal boolean variables for the bits, for example PLC1_MW12_B0 ... PLC1_MW12_B31
• Make a script that masks bits from the input variable and sets the internal variables 0 or 1
• Use the internal boolean variables in your program.

Thanks for the answer, it's an interesting option, but...

1. Do the scripts need to be triggered by an event? What kind? By a timer? Or is there a separate event for updating variables from the Modbus TCP?
2. If the task involved only a few variables, it wouldn't be a big deal. The problem is, there are over a hundred INT16 registers from the controllers, and accordingly, there will be thousands of Boolean variables.

The script can be timed to run for example on 1Hz.
I suppose that you need to have a function that can connect with several devices, and these devices are sending similar data. If so, you need functions which get as input parameters Device and Tag of this device. If so, we are developing something similar. At the moment we are not looking primary the alarms, however soon we will need to.
Is it so, that you need to store the alarm integers so that you can analyse historical data? For example to find on which order events happed (first this failure, next that, so the problem is likely NN). If so, maybe it is best that you store the data as INT and read in historical data when needed.
When you are analysing the data, you can convert each INT to an array. Maybe you can convert all data from one device to one larger array, if the data structure remains same. And then store this array into a history database.

Hi, other approach is to create a script to bind in Read Scale Script of your Tag (int), into the script you split value and write it to for example FUXA server Tags (as boolean).
