if we can dynamically create placeholder-to-tag bindings through a script, it is possible to create user interfaces which can connect to a number of devices like PLC's which have similar functionality and tags.

can you explain what you are trying to achieve exactly in details? You may have to create a gauge component in fuxa for your needs. Just like how I made the scheduler UI interface

Thank you Matthew, we will look at your code.
When placeholders are used, the TagID isbind to the placeholder. After doing that the Device and Tag are shown. Would it be possible to use funktion like getTagID(TagName, Device) in the dialog used for binding?
There will be an error, if the Device (or Tag) are not there. To avoid the error, there should be a dialog/menu for selecting the possible Devices / Tags combinations. For example, defining which Devices we want to use, and then which TAGs are defined for all these Devices. Or, simply allow the error, just indicating it?
From my point of view, this is the biggest shortcoming of FUXA. And, if this is solved, it sets FUXA apart of other SCADA/HMI I know. And, I did my first application 1994. Then a HMI computer with a good, responsive touchscreen was priced same as a C class Mercedes car..

@HytKys fuxa is pretty flexible, you can and a device and tag selection to your UI that will list all available devices and the list tags available for that device. Are you trying to make a runtime component to list devices and tags and set them?

Can you explain exactly what you want to achieve and build and may be able to help guide you in right direction.

I have a number of PLCs with identical OPC UA interface and tag names like
temp01, startTime1, temp02, startTime02, ...
I need to have a method to (as an example) write one HMI page for setting parameters. On this page I have for example tables in which I have elements bind with tags like

devicePlaceholder.temp01 ; device.Placeholder.startTime01 ;
devicePlaceholder.temp02 ; device.placeHolder.startTime02 ;

where devicePlaceholder is given as a value the "device name".

Also visualisation of time/temperature patterns are needed, and also there the HMI and tag names should remain same, just the Device name is changed. If you want to make a product that can be scaled from 1 - N identical PLC devices, this kind of a solution is necessary.
I believe, that what is needed is just an alternative way to dynamically bind the placeholder to a (device, Tag).

@HytKys I'm actually half way through creating a parameters table for fuxa, similar to the wincc unified parameters table

It will have types/devices and then parameter sets for that type/device which should also work for you application
