Do you have any plans on implementing PF instead of IPFW?

Hi!

I don't right now, because I'm focusing on other aspects (like basic network management, service management, memory footprint, hardware issues, general wifi issues, etc.) I've chosen ipfw because it's small and I know it well.

However, one of them is making the image building more modular, so people can build things like "i'd like just the pf bits" and "i'd just like the ipfw bits". That way we can do both or either without sacrificing things.

So, once I've sorted out more of the platform bits and I make the build system modular - yes. Ideally you'd just say "please enable pf bits" and it'd include the pf kernel modules, pf userland tools and configuration scripts for people to use.
