Silent permission error when clicking on conversion button

What happened?

From the Dangerzone GUI, I selected some files for conversion that I thought belonged to my user. Turns out, they were actually owned by a different user. The file browser still let me pick them.

Once I selected the files, clicking on the conversion button did not work. There was no indication of the error, and nothing was printed in the logs. I finally figured out, using the Dangerzone CLI, that my user could not read these files.

Removing all documents

and then nothing. Nothing extra when clicking on the button.
