Clarification on pages behaviour

Hello there,
First off, thanks for this project.

I haven't been able to understand how exactly pages are supposed to work.

I got a second-hand e-paper tag from a shop.
Using the android app, I'm able to send an image and it updates correctly. However the broadcast functions doesn't seem to do anything.
Whatever page number I choose, nothing happens on the display.
Also, I don't understand the difference between "TX PAGE" and "TX PAGE DM".
Could you please explain?

Also, I noticed that if I send an image after selecting a page number, it does switch to the appropriate page and display the image there.

Hello,

I believe there's a need to enable pages before they can be used. I have several second-hand tags that only react to 2 or 3 page numbers, which must have been enabled when they were used in stores.
Sending an image to a disabled page seems to be a way to force it to be enabled.
This is something that need further research.

TX PAGE is for segment tags, TX PAGE DM is for e-paper tags (DM = Dot Matrix, the brand's term for graphic tags).
Same functionality, different command, so different buttons.

Even after pushing images to any page, I still cannot switch between pages using the TX PAGE DM, even switching to page 0 does not work. But if I push a very small 8x8 image , I can see that the page did retain previous information.

Also, it seems that I don't need to scan the barcode to push images (on that particular tag at least). It just accepts anything

Could you share the model or even better, a picture, of the tag ?
I have never encountered one that ignores the ID for display updates.
