One of key resource holding analytics data is biomedical literature database such as PubMed. It provides wealth of information (data) on how certain keywords are cited in the literature. Through this issue, the team would create code to connect and retrieve data from PubMed related to GA4GH.
Scope
Publications mentioning "GA4GH" or one of the products. The metadata of publications including name of the publication, timestamp, and authors (and associated institutions). Data transformation is out of scope of this issue.
Outcome
Code (in Python) which establishes the connection to PubMed, triggers search on the platform using appropriate interface, and returns the result to be persisted in the analytics dashboard database. The persistence would be in the schema as defined without needing any additional transformation or massaging.
