Hackathon 5th - 7th May

It would be great to start tackling some long-standing issues in the repository. I believe we need a few dedicated days of focused work on this project to make significant progress.

Key updates that are urgently needed:

• Update the GTN materials to improve onboarding for groups.
• Replace the test CI with mock unit tests so the CI can run on PRs to the main branch.
• Elixir Toolkit Theme Landing Page: [PR #237](Add Elixir toolkit theme to CoDex #237)
• Merge community PRs.
• Improve the documentation.
• Galaxy Lab Changes Preview: [PR #201](Github workflow to test Galaxy Lab changes #201)

Availability check

Please confirm if you’re available for a few days (or at least one or two) to focus on this work.

will there be a planning meeting before the hackathon? or on day one?

@supernord this is mainly meant as a blocked time, where we can focus on this project. I would say let's meet on Monday (how about 9:00 am CEST - that would be 4:00 pm for you: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20250407T060000&p1=2985&p2=47) and discuss who does what and then meet once more Tuesday and Wednesday to check on each other, wdyt ?
Please also add points of things you want to work on, if you have some.
