RO-Crate: There is no pointer to the root dataset

I'm getting some strange errors when I try the ro-crate-metadata.json file from the zip at https://dataverse.lib.virginia.edu/file.xhtml?fileId=79676&version=1.2

It seems to work fine on simple files. Below is an example from https://demo.dataverse.org/file.xhtml?persistentId=doi:10.70122/FK2/RS3ZA9/CEFMAO using this ro-crate-metadata.json file.

I am not an expert on RO-Crate, but it looks like the structure is not correct. When I move the dataset to the graph, link the dataset files to the dataset in the graph and add the correct first item, the resulting RO-Crate still does not validate, but the previewer knows now hot to display the content:

I have also noticed that there is a new version of the RO-Crate viewer tool, I will try to update the previewer. It might be more robust, but I am not sure if it will work on the original file from this issue, I think that it does not have a correct RO-Crate structure.
