EdgeDb would greatly benefit from a well documented, formally supported way to add new language bindings. Mainly from increased company and developer adoption which is key metric of success for any open source offering.
I am not an expert on this but I can see how this could be a big ask - possibly involving some restructuring of the project code base to separate out extendable sections and perhaps refactoring to adopt visitor, double dispatch or other design patterns in places where abstraction is needed to make this a reality.
