Wazuh connection error

Hi there,

I have a problem about the connection between the MCP serever and the wazuh api I could not solve it, it gives me an error "the connection refused" and I am sure all the environment variables are correct and even tested by curl command.

A mi me pasa algo similar aunque el error más bien es que nunca logra conectar con el indexer, chatgpt traté ed ayudarme pero dice que había un problema en el un archivo del proyecto creo que era config.py pero la verdad no me funcionó por más que intente.

exactly my mistak was I didn't add the WAZUH_PROTOCOL variable in .env file as mentioned in the configuration.md file.

and I managed to connect to the wazuh server but then I noticed that the MCP server couldn't connect to wazuh Indexer. I believe the problem is in the config.py code as well.

Fix Released

We identified and fixed the root cause of this issue.

Problem

The documentation showed WAZUH_HOST=https://your-wazuh-server.com, but the code was also adding https:// internally, resulting in malformed URLs like:

https://https://192.168.1.100:55000

This caused "connection refused" errors.

Solution

We added automatic host normalization that strips protocol prefixes if present. Both formats now work:

• WAZUH_HOST=192.168.1.100 ✓
• WAZUH_HOST=https://192.168.1.100 ✓

Same fix applies to WAZUH_INDEXER_HOST for indexer connectivity.

To Fix Your Setup

1. Pull the latest code:

   git pull origin main
   docker compose build --no-cache
   docker compose up -d

2. Or simply remove the protocol from your .env:

   WAZUH_HOST=192.168.1.100
   WAZUH_INDEXER_HOST=192.168.1.100
