SSO plugin support

In the documentation, under supported-plugins, it says that the sso plugin is not recommended to be used because it has nodejs dependencies. However, convex seems to have added nodejs runtimes.

Is this plugin still not supported/recommended? Are there plans to integrate it in the future? Or are there other fundamental incompatibilities?
