Switch environment selector from dialog to sidebar dropdown?

Would anyone else prefer the environment selector as a sidebar dropdown instead of a centered dialog? I switch between environments often frequently and it just feels like an extra step.

I'm happy to fork and experiment with this change myself if there's interest. Just wanted to gauge if anyone else feels similarly.

I had this originally and people didn't like it, I don't remember which version we changed it, People did not like how it cramed it could be if you have more than 5-6 environments

I honestly would prefer a combined view rather than switching environments similar to Komodo and Dockge. The UX of switching environments feels like Portainer. Having a single view with an environment filter would feel more streamlined with less context switching.

Likewise, it would be nice to see the Projects on the Dashboard instead of (or in addition to) the Containers.

On a related topic, it would also be nice if the Homepage widget included the Projects/Containers for all environments to avoid having to add two widgets.
