Docs for onGetPageBlueprints confusing and/or outdated?

The documentation related to registering blueprints and the event onGetPageBlueprints is confusing. Is the code example correct here?

I believe this code example on Discourse is probably better? I am not sure as I am not completely familiar with this part of the codebase.

I came across this issue while trying to understand how to create flex-objects from a plugin. I circuitously found the solution on Discourse. This should probably be added to the Flex documenation?
