Highlights are syncing out of order

I have noticed that highlights are syncing out of order. This happens even when I highlight sequentially.

The annotations in a single sync should appear in the order that they appear in the article (source). If you highlight across multiple syncs, it'll append new highlights to the bottom.

To investigate I'll need some more information or an example of this code not working as intended. Thanks!

There is an issue inside Matter app called "orphan highlighting" that drops rendered highlights in articles. The data is still there, the highlights just aren't displayed. When this happens, Matter drops the order highlights appear in the text. I'm not sure the logic of how the order is replaced yet, but long story short, this is partly issue on the application side, not the plugin side.

I know the Matter development team is working on this.
