How to customize the slug of terms?

It's possible to customize the slug of pages and add custom meta information for terms, but I can't find a way to customize term slugs in documentation, forum or source code.

As an example, in my blog, for the term `群论`, the default slug generated is `qun-lun`, but I prefer the exact translation `group-theory`.
