Quick Terminal shortcut need to be pressed twice when Ghostty is not the active app

I have added this shortcut in the configuration file:

keybind = global:ctrl+grave_accent=toggle_quick_terminal

When Ghostty is the active (frontmost) application, it works as expected. But when another app is active (for eg. Chrome or the Finder), pressing ctrl+` does nothing: I have to press it twice for the quick terminal to appear.
