Option ⌥ + Delete vs Command ⌘ + Delete

I'm not sure if it's a config or something else, but I find jumping around with Option ⌥ + Delete works great. However, Command ⌘ + Delete doesn't delete the entire line, as I would expect.

In addition, it would be great if Option ⌥ + Del (not backspace, but the delete equivalent on a non-mac keyboard) would also delete to the right of the cursor. On my machine it's instead typing a ~ character
