Apostrophe key not recognized correctly when using US Intl layout

I noticed that the "key" appears as invalid and the Press event isn't even recognized.
This leads to a strange scenario where my custom keyboard can't execute macros using this key just while inside Neovim and just when Neovim isn't inside Tmux.

Concretely, what's the issue here: are you unable to bind the key in Ghostty, or is the encoding for the TUIs wrong?

I'm not trying to bind, I'm just writting some code inside Neovim.

Because I'm using the US International layout whenever I press the quote key it waits for me to press another key to create an international character. So, for me to write a double quote, I have to hold Shift, press the quote key, release Shift and press Space.
This is somewhat tedious, so I have a key in my keyboard configured with macro that does exactly that.

It's working on any other terminal emulator. As for ghostty, strangely enough it works on my shell and also works in Neovim inside Tmux, but not in Neovim outside Tmux. I didn't test any other scenario tho.

Is there a way I can easily reproduce this? It'll be hard to develop a fix without. How can I setup a macro similar to you without much fuss?

Yeah the keyboard input stacks between macOS and Linux are wholly different beasts. If you could provide some reproduction steps for me to see this I can fix this very quickly. Without that, this may linger for some time.

I managed to reproduce it using this software: https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper
Just choose my keyboard as the device, created a new preset, added an input, binded it to Super + M (can be any combination) and used the following macro as output:

key_down(KEY_APOSTROPHE).
key_up(KEY_APOSTROPHE).
key_down(KEY_SPACE).
key_up(KEY_SPACE)
