Ghostty hangs while closing terminal (if process cannot be killed?)

I was trying out Gostty and testing various pathological things. I managed to get Ghostty to hang completely:

1. run cat /dev/urandom
2. Click the close button or press cmd-w
3. Click "Close the Terminal"
4. Gostty will hang. The window never closes. The cursor beachballs and it becomes impossible to interact with any terminals. Gostty must be force quit.

Interestingly, clicking quit instead of closing a single terminal (and choosing "Close Ghostty" in the "Quit Ghostty? All terminal sessions will be terminated." dialog) does successfully exit ghosty while cat /dev/urandom is running,

perhaps #4573 is related?
