After 1.0.1, the keybinding alt+` doesn't work properly unless macos-option-as-alt is set to true

OS: macOS.
Relevant config:
keybind = global:alt+grave_accent=toggle_quick_terminal
macos-option-as-alt = true

Before 1.0.1, alt+` works properly to show and hide the quick terminal.

After 1.0.1, it takes two presses where the first press outputs a backtick (`).

I suspect this might have been caused by #4147

Warning: @leojweda do not "bump" issues. I don't sort them by most recently active, I sort them by date created, so there is no bumping possible. I plan to look into this but haven't yet.
