Ghostty and foreign keyboards

I have a Danish keyboard and the way to make a square bracket is Option + 8.

When I am in insert mode in Ghostty, pressing those buttons would put me into command mode and take me one character back. I would expect a square bracket just like in the native Mac OS terminal app.

I'm sure that I have done something wrong and maybe forgot to map something properly.

What should I change?

Trying to type @ gives '' on the danish keyboard as well.

Unfortunately both of these are working for me with a US physical keyboard with a Danish keyboard layout, so I suspect this is somehow related to the physical danish keyboard which I don't presently have access to.

Ah bummer. Would there be anything I can do to debug this further?
