Option+. to Insert Last Argument

On MacOS when using terminal I often use the shortcut Option+. to insert the last argument of the previous command.

For example:

$ echo hello
$
<option+.>
$ hello

This only when setting "use option as meta key" in terminal's settings and otherwise inserts the character ≥.
When I use the same key comibnation in ghostty I get ≥.
I've tried various settings but nothing seems to work.

Tried adding these to the ghostty configuration:

macos-option-as-alt = true
keybind = alt+.=insert-last-argument
keybind = alt+.=yank-last-arg

Side-note: I couldn't find a list of the possible keybind values (the commands that can be bound), it would be very helpful to have a command print all these out or have them documented somewhere online. I don't even know if insert-last-argument and/or yank-last-arg are valid options, these were suggested to me by AI.

Also tried adding this to my bashrc:

    if [ -n "${GHOSTTY_RESOURCES_DIR}" ]; then
        builtin source "${GHOSTTY_RESOURCES_DIR}/shell-integration/bash/ghostty.bash"
    fi

Can anyone advise if this is possible to do in ghostty and if so why?
This is pretty much the only thing that I haven't been able to fix in my workflow since migrating to ghostty.

Side-note: I couldn't find a list of the possible keybind values

ghostty +list-actions, add --docs to view their documentation. They're also a page on the website as well as a section in the manpage (access it with man 5 ghostty, although I don't know if it'll work out-of-the-box on macOS).

keybind = alt+.=insert-last-argument

This is an action defined by Bash, not Ghostty; you would want to bind it in your Bash configuration¹.

Thank you, this clarifies a few things.
However, I still haven't been able to make it work.

I've tried adding these to my .inputrc:

"\e.": yank-last-arg
"\e.": insert-last-argument

And also running these manually:

bind '"\e.": yank-last-arg'
bind '"\e.": insert-last-argument'

And all this while having:

$ ghostty +show-config | grep macos
macos-option-as-alt = true

And I'm still getting ≥.

With macos-option-as-alt = true (on non US layouts, since it defaults to true on US), I'm not getting >= symbols and option + . is encoding properly for me. If you have any further tips to reproduce I'll look further.
