I'm still trying to zero in on exactly what the sequence of events is but there does seem to be something repeatable here.
What I've observed is that I will be working on my laptop with it undocked. Then I'll close my laptop without closing any applications (say I'm driving home from a coffee shop), then I plug my laptop in to my thunderbolt hub on my desk and open up the laptop (this is where I'm a little fuzzy on the exact sequence because it's something I do without thinking about it), and Ghostty is no longer running.
If it matters, I am using Aerospace and part of my set up is that my terminal window always moves from my laptop display to one of my 2 external displays when I plug it in.
Happy to provide whatever other information might be helpful. macOS 15.3, M2 Macbook Pro, Ghostty 1.1.2 (have kept it up to date, not sure when I first noticed this but it's been a while)
