I'm also seeing crashes on macOS, but it mostly happens when I switch monitors, like when I unplug from work and then open the MacBook Pro and use the built in screen. Are you also using a multiple monitor setup? |

I'm using a big display connected to the laptop with a closed lid. But what you're saying, is also something I think is causing it: resizing/redrawing causes crashes. That's also what happens a lot when you split a terminal in 2. It has to redraw the existing. And that also happens when you switch from monitor to built-in screen: resize. |

Submitted a few more crash reports:
I still can't put my finger on it. It doesn't happen when I'm afraid it will crash. And when I think "it probably won't" it does 🤷 Is there anything in the crash report that can hint to where this is coming from? Maybe that could help me come up with a proper reproducer. |

This is something I have been dealing with for months. At some point I stopped opening or splitting tabs. But since I want to keep doing that, I thought, it would be better to report this problem. I searched the discussions but couldn't find a relation issue for macOS.
I found the crashes I experienced today, and dispatched them to sentry according to the docs.
The crash occurs from time to time. While creating these reports I was able to let it crash once. But when I started to stress test opening new tabs 20x, splitting it, while other applications are running like lazygit, obviously, it kept on running fine 😅
I hope I dispatched the crash reports correctly. If there is anything else I can add, please let me know.
macOS: 15.3.2 (24D81)
Ghostty: tip (updating it daily)
