Blank screen hafl the terminal window on certain directories!

When I browse certain directory up my FS, I get a blankscreen half the terminal window

Apparently It's a font problem. Certain glyphs trigger the half blank screen. If there's just a single file contained within that dir even. Trivial ones like ? of filename retrieved from yt-dlp.

The problem is persistent whether I've set a font or not, but right now I have

 font-family = "FantasqueSansM Nerd Font"

A yazi pane where I'm exploring files. The blank segment is taking up 90% of the pane. That glitch has something to do with fonts. I just don't know how to fix it

Yup. It's just a regular video. I can navigate and select and do much of the operations on yazi. It's just that I can't see what's beneath that blank overlay/unrendered segment. I've once renamed a file that had an odd ？ symbol, and It started working back again.

For me it's in IPAGothic and I can't reproduce this bug with a file name containing a full width question mark in Yazi.

I have a listing of various files, and the the symbol of that video (excluding its name) was the one included in the visible 10% of the screen (outside the blank screen glitch).

As I was using a popular prepackaged popular nix package, I was suspicious of something being wrong with my own setup. I've tested ghostty on another laptop, same version, on the same glyphs, and it seems like me overriding nerdfonts was the cause of the problem

Other terminals didn't seem to be bothered by it however. Closing for now

Our rendering should probably be resilient to this error. I'd like to make this a bug.

To do that, I just need to know what font and what codepoint triggers this and to try to reproduce this myself. I think that's all above so just want to verify it's FantasqueSansMono and ？ (U+FF1F)?

That font or that glyph in particular isn't the problem. It's just the override I had before to strip down nerdfonts package down to a single font I believe was the problem

Ah, do you think its possible you could get access to the generated ttf/otf file that came from that process so I can run that through some of our tests?
