Alternate dispaly for native multiplexer/tabs

I currently use Ghostty as a multplexer, similar to tmux. Mostly for switching between tabs. I wish there was an aesthetic option that allowed for the current/available tabs (and other relevant information) to be displayed in the typical bottom location that is common on tmux and others.

Would this be something that is possible?

It's possible to move the tabs to the bottom on GTK via gtk-tabs-location but not on macOS unfortunately due to how macOS native tabs work.

This is good to know, I didn't catch this in the documentation. I'm attached to the way tmux looks, a list instead of equal sized tab bars, but this will probably do the trick. Thanks!

you can heavily customize the look of tabs with custom css.
Not saying you will be able to get it exactly like tmux but you can change them quite a bit

for example this is kitty style tabs in ghostty, using custom css is the answer for styling tabs the GTK maintainers aren't going to support other options
