This is a pre-release of the 0.18.x series of the plugin for testing and local translation before a full release is made. I've done very little testing on this version as I'm releasing it while travelling and away from my test lab. As there are significant changes in both the backend code and the UI layout, I'd appreciate testing and feedback. As before, please provide feedback in the discussion page for the 0.18.x release series.

One big thing to highlight, this is the first release that can be translated into other languages. I need help with this though. I will be making a full release in about 2 weeks time. If you want to have PTZ Controls UI translated into your own language, please help by going to the PTZ Controls Crowdin project page and providing string translations.

I use OSB 31.0.4 and OBS-PTZ 0.18.0, the Visca udp to control a webcam. I found when using Visca udpp control, the preset location of the webcam could not be saved. I need to redo the preset again when opn the OBS. Is this a bug?

hello, I installed version .18.2-rc1 we are running OBS version 31.1.2 64bit. now I have both .15.4 and .18 versions in the obs program. could you walk me through how to delete the older version? I did discover they share some script like presets, so I do not want to lose those in the process. thank you very much for your time.

Delete all the OBS-plz files from c:\Program Files\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64-bit

I just installed the latest version into OBS 32.0.4 (64 bit). I am running Serial cable, and it was easy to set up. What I can't seem to make work is presets. I couldn't find and docs on how to setup the preset, so I took a shot.

Use the controls to position the camera
hit the + at the bottom
name the preset and hit enter.
I created a few of them
then click on the preset and it doesn;t go anywhere.

I'm missing a step I think

My guess is the ip address on your cameras are not the same as the ones listed in obs for the cameras. You need to go into your camera menu under ethernet (probably) and record the ip address, then in obs chose a camera and go into properties where the ip address is located and change it to match your camera. Click apply. Occasionally we have to check this, if presets are not responding that is always the issue. Not sure why it changes but it happens.

The camera is connected via serial cable. I am able to control the camera. Just not sure how presets are supposed to work,
The HDMI out of the camera is connected to an Elgato Cam link (HDMI to USB capture device) OBS sees the camera.
Maybe I'm building the presets wrong, here are the steps.
Move camera to position 1, click the + sign, a preset label appears and I type a name and hit return
I move camera to a new location and repeat the steps above.
Now I click on a preset but the camera does not move.

So we are also running camlink capture devices but you still need the correct visca connection. It took ne forever to figure this out. When you set up the camers it should be a UDP connection. Here’s a picture of ours. Use port 52381. Then the host must match the camera. Thats what worked for us. Also not sure what the difference is but our controller when downloaded came preconfigured with 16 presets. You can see at bottom of photo.

My camera is Visca over Serial port (rs232)

I have a USB serial dongle connectes to the PC. The Visca commands go over seral port not ethernet
I don;t think that camera supports Visca over IP, But I could test it tomorrow.

Any way to set pan tilt max speed below 0.1 ?
With OBSbot Tiny cameras it is visible skip while rotating even with 0.1 value of speed.
