Future of GlusterFS

Hi,

I'm a GlusterFS user/fan for years and for a new project I was planning an installation of a new cluster.
When browsing through some information I found the news about RedHat stopping with GlusterFS as a product.

RedHat seems to have had a big influence in the development of GlusterFS the past few years and probably will stop developing it actively. That's why I was wondering about the future of the software. Is there still active development (I actually see some commits) and are there going to be new releases ?

Personally I hope it's gonna continue as it's suitable for a lot of situations where for example Ceph is overkill.
