There is no place to do announcements in Github, so I've pinned this issue here for visibility as I've had several emails.

I wanted to address my availability the last few weeks. Given how much people use the repo and contribute, I feel the need to let you know of my current situation. I'm usually a relatively private but feel you guys might want an explaination to know what to expect.

So first of all, no, I have no abandoned the repo... I had a couple emails asking this, the recent release wasn't that long ago. Summer has pretty much ended where I live and the cold has crept in, tried to get family time in while I could with the kids.

Essentially, I became a victim of civil fraud by someone who used to be close to me. I've been through a long battle with it and unfourtunately I am being held responsible to pay it off. It is not a small amount. It has caused an great crushing amount of stress to my life in all areas... which resultingly causes issues with my free time, which then in-turn causes issues having time to work on the repo.

Things will be a little slower for me personally, but community can keep pushing PRs and I'll gladly review and merge. I am still picking at working on the non-app-bridge PR as well when I get time here and there. Just know I need some time as it is now limited, and I hope everyone can have some patience while I work through this.

You have invested so much of your time building this amazing tool, and we use it so much in our offerings, that we will be happy to contribute to it.
I don't really know how GitHub Sponsors works, but I think it's something you need to setup on the repo so then we can contribute to it right? We will be happy to.

Thank you for your openness about what you're going through. I am so sorry to hear that you and your family are dealing with such a horrible situation, and that it's causing you such crushing stress. You have given so much to all of us through this package (and your other packages), and I know that I'm not alone when I say that we are extremely grateful!

I know you have problems, but do you think you can make time for a library update at the end of the week?

Hello Osiset,
I have been using this repository for more than two years. Before version 17, it was great. Before using this package, it was challenging for me to manage everything from ground zero. Thank you very much for what you have done. But now, this repository has tons of bugs. Though I am still using this repository, I am Pulling the master branch and making changes as far as possible. For Non embedded app, I am still using version 16 and for an embedded app using version 17. I have added some functionality following Shopify documentation for the App block extension. It is working fine for me.

However, I know you are going through some challenging situations. But It will be great if you can marge the important pull request, fix the bugs, which is super important, or you can say how much time you need to return. Or if you can give the responsibility to someone who is a good developer like you and has that ability.

I hope you will return soon. This repository will continuously be updated. Please pardon me for my worst English. Finally, best wishes to you.
