Films anyone the right to freely screen (libre)

The university requires that we have the rights to movies that we screen in university buildings... However, there are quite a few good freely available ones.

  • I've heard that Plan 9 From Outer Space is in the public domain, but I can't find it.

    • While the film did include a copyright notice, it was miswritten and lacked the actual word “Copyright,” the abbreviation “Copr.”, or the © symbol, and thus, the copyright was deemed invalid.
