Some investigation was done into declaring different aspects of the pmt map as const. https://quick-bench.com/q/BogFXD0XKHqR5RJPScaYY42HTW4
We should investigate incorporating this into the pmt class. The map implementation could be a template parameter or multiple implementations could be included in the pmt.
