Been running IB Gateway paper account on Kubernetes fine. But I'm having trouble with the live account because it requires 2FA.

I set the TWOFA_DEVICE="Mobile Authenticator" (I'm not sure if I'm doing it right, here). The Mobile Authenticator is any app that can generate those random 6 digit numbers. In my case I'm using Microsoft Authenticator app.

i don't think that you are using it the way it is supposed to be used. Please check IBC documentation

Thanks for the response. I get it now, I'm using the incorrect 2fa method. The correct solution is to use the IB Key (mobile app). It will send an alert to my mobile that I'll need to acknowledge.
