It is related to a new feature. Since IBKR allow user to setup a Google 2FA code as a authentication method to replace IBKR Authenticator. It might be easier for trader to login IBGateway smoothly

Describe the solution you'd like

• The user need to setup the 2FA code in IBKR -> Security Settings.
• They can save the auth-code into .env file like GOOGLE_2FA_CODE=abcxyz
• Once the app read the the code field non-empty, it will switch to this auth method

this is a docker image, it can't solve your problem. IBC would need to support MFA, and the author has answered that question https://groups.io/g/ibcalpha/message/2523
