Elimination of CGO requirement

I would like to eliminate CGO libraries from my runtime dependencies so that my binary is completely portable to all platforms

From what I see lib/pq and mattn/sqlite are CGO libraries. Would be great if we can use alternatives like pgx and modern.org/sqlite which is pure go

@houtn11 Checked again.. you are right lib/pq is not a CGO library however mattn/sqlite is a CGO library

Jet is independent of database driver. It can use any driver that implements database/sql interface, including pgx/stdlib and modern.org/sqlite. Check - Dependencies.

What do you think about keeping the defaults without CGO?

Jet generator executable defaults? Why?
Jet executable is something you install on your dev machine once. It's not something you'd share. So I'm not clear why cgo is a problem.

Not for the executable but for the library dependency

SQL builder package for sqlite does not include mattn/sqlite, so a build that includes "github.com/go-jet/jet/v2/sqlite" would not have cgo requirements, regardles if cgo dependency is listed or not in the repository go.mod.
