I'd like to request that Harbor resume publishing release announcements at https://goharbor.io/blog/. The blog posts used to provide valuable, digestible summaries of new releases that served multiple audiences beyond the core development team. This was useful for busy admins like me, our cybersecurity team, and staff new to the CNCF world. Blog posts historically provided the "why it matters" context—highlighting key features, security fixes, and operational impacts without requiring readers to parse through commit histories and component updates.
I do use the GitHub "Watch" feature for releases & security updates from https://github.com/goharbor/harbor, but it's messy. The majority of emails are about -rc releases which are not useful, and distracting to folks like Junior Staff or our cybersecurity team. GitHub release notes (even Harbor's relatively good ones) are developer-focused. For example, the v2.14.0 release notes include component version bumps and technical changes that are difficult to parse for teams evaluating upgrade priorities. Since many of us monitor dozens of projects in our ecosystem, this can be too much.
