Hi @Coleraz! I was analyzing how the app works under the hood, and I noticed a technical limitation regarding this feature.

Because the app relies on youtube_explode_dart scraping regular YouTube videos (rather than the YouTube Music API), it doesn't actually retrieve or store official "Artist IDs" or structured discography metadata (albums, singles, EPs).
If you look at lib/utilities/formatter.dart, the app literally just splits the video title by the hyphen (-) to guess the artist name and song title:

Because of this project's nature, creating a proper Artist Page (with an artist picture, categorized albums, and top tracks) would be extremely difficult and error-prone. It would have to rely on the YouTube channel ID that uploaded the video, which is often a lyric channel or VEVO aggregator rather than the actual artist's official topic channel.

Suggested Alternative (The "Search Shortcut" approach)

Instead of a dedicated complex page, a possible alternative would be making the Artist Name clickable wherever it appears (in the Mini/Big Player and Song Lists).
When tapped, it could act as a shortcut that automatically navigates to the Search Page and searches for that exact artist's name.

This would solve the core pain point you mentioned:

It's a much simpler approach that perfectly respects the current architecture of the app without requiring massive rewrites to the scraping logic. Just leaving this technical insight and idea here to help the discussion!

If there are no simpler ways, it could certainly be useful.
It would also be interesting to have the option to long-press, for example, on SONG in the search page to open a menu that allows you to add all the songs to the queue—of course by increasing the number of songs shown. This would also make it much more convenient to listen to the main songs of a single artist.

Not all songs show the Artist name, will that be okay? At least more than half of the songs I own have the pattern "Artist Name = Title". It would be better if only something could be done with this pattern, like a fallback of the Artist name to the uploader's channel name.

Hi @erickmufath! Thanks for the feedback. Currently, the app extracts the artist name by splitting the video title at the hyphen ('-'), which is why it fails when that pattern isn't present. I and the Dev have already discussed implementing something similar to what you suggested in the future, but our current focus is on bug fixes. Everything will be taken into account for the app's development, and the next version will come with many new features and bug fixes!

Now I understand. Besides that pattern (with full title in the title and artist name), I also noticed that some songs don't display their full titles (half in the title, half in the Artist Name)
