A wrapper script is used to extend the original executable with additional functionality. It will call
lf
in the background for you, and you can name it whatever you want. For example, if you name itlfrun
, you would launch the file manager usinglfrun
instead of callinglf
directly to access the new functionality.As for the location of the script, it needs to be in one of the directories listed in your
PATH
variable. You can look up how to add new directories toPATH
, or simply check which ones are already included by runningecho $PATH
