There is a regression between v0.48 and v0.52.1/v0.53 that breaks golangci-lint-v2

If I downgrade to v0.48.0 golangci-lint-v2 works fine.

This is a duplicate of #3949 .

I have revert the change, I will coordinate a release by the end of next week so we can get v.52.2 with the fix of this.
