custom textures from savestates sometimes just dont load

sometimes custom savestate textures DO actually work but with some specific savestates it just doesnt work at all
they work fine with ricevideo which is why im confused

I still miss the context. What is "Chroma Key Pack v2.0 (GREEN)" ? What is "green screen savestate"? Which result do you expect?
Which rom version your save state for?

its a savestate from a pack of chroma key savestates (maps with entirely green, blue or pink backgrounds with an invisible floor), i kinda expect it to have a background with any of those colors i just mentioned, and as you can see the background is black which is not the intended result

the savestates are compatible with all sm64 roms i think, sorry that i forgot to mention that
