[Feature] Status of Chat Integration

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
As outlined on the website Gonnect is supposed to gain matrix chat integration. This is basically an inquiry into how far support has come so far and if there is a usable alpha or beta version.

Describe the solution you'd like
Fully Integrated Unified Communication Platform with Phone (SIP), Chat, Calls (Jitsi).

Describe alternatives you've considered
We are currently running a matrix server and are running Element as a seperate external to Gonnect Chat client.

Additional context
Since we are currently migrating to Linux as base system for our small company, we had to find a solution for Unified Communication. Gonnect seems to fill most parts of this, but we would love to use Chat right in Gonnect, however there is currently no way to get this going, or maybe it is just not properly documented. I'd also like to assist in testing this feature if required.

I'm glad to hear that you'd like to use GOnnect as your UC solution. That's exactly what we strive for.

We are currently planning the merge of the Matrix integration into the main branch. There are still a few minor issues that need to be resolved before we can move on to the alpha phase. Out goal is to achieve this in the next, let's say two weeks.

The Alpha integration of matrix will then likely be available in a GOnnect Beta release.

@fabianthoma - there is a little progress:

So flathub already knows about a matrix add-on, but due to "unplanned outage" we still need a couple of days to have the GOnnect+Chat side in shape for a new beta. The next release needs to be done before that.
