Confirming Intent Mandate via SMS

Just read about this new project. It's incredible. Absolutely love it. We are going to start exploring how to add it into the https://Fluz.app ecosystem right away.

I want to understand about the Intent Mandate requirements. Would it be acceptable if we send the customer an SMS/email/push notification with the ability to confirm intent? It would be delivered to a phone number/email address/device that has already had 2FA confirmation on it.

The value there is that we can possibly get confirmation of the Intent Mandate at a later time, not necessarily while the user is setting up the Cart Mandate. This can be used for recurring transactions and a bunch of other use cases that will happen at a later time.

In case of recurring, i believe you can then create a 0 value payment token in the first step of the Intent Mandate and use the token later on to trigger a Human Present payment from the backend when user authenticates.
I am sure there will be cases as well where you as a merchant can flag a transaction as 2FA authenticated and this will be treated as a Human Present mandate. I am not sure though who will have the fraud liability here.
