visibility detector does not allow clipping of overflows

Problem description

Steps to reproduce

on ScrollablePositionedList with scrollDirection: Axis.horizontal add a child that overflows, overflowed text is cut out. A more visual example would be a label on a chart along the x axis

Expected behavior

to map a ListView which has a clip property to allow for overflows

1. Is this bug about package:visibility_detector or about package:scrollable_positioned_list or the combination of them?
2. Can you provide a more detailed description of the problem?
3. Can you provide code (ideally an automated test) that reproduces the problem you're encountering?

Not the original reporter, from what I can understand from the description they shared, I think I suffer from the same situation .

It's not a bug, but more a missing feature preventing ScrollablePositionedList to have feature parity with ListView.

Not sure if this parameter is complicated to provide in the current implementation of the widget, as it does not leverage Viewport the way ListView does, but as things are it's not possible to create layouts where the children of the ScrollablePositionedList can overflow the boundaries of itself.

1. What does this have to do with package:visibility_detector? Your description does not mention that at all.
2. Can you provide reproduction code?

2 There is no bug to reproduce, it's a feature request. You can see the requested interface from the ListView documentation: https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/widgets/ListView-class.html.

1 My guess is that original reporter noticed that they can't observe the overflowed changes is through the visibility detector widget, although your guess is good as mine. I can't tell why they decided to put that aspect into the title while not mentioning it again on the description.
