Icon Request: focus_mode
Problem Statement
Modern productivity and wellness apps increasingly include "focus mode" or "deep work" features. Currently, Material Design has do_not_disturb (crescent moon/circle with line) which represents silencing all notifications, but there's no icon for intentional, focused work states. A dedicated focus_mode icon would represent entering a flow state, deep work, or concentrated focus — distinct from simply muting notifications.
Icon Description
- Basic Shape: A human silhouette or head shape with a circular "focus ring" around it
- Key Features:
- Human head/silhouette (simple, minimalist)
- Circular ring or halo around the head (representing focus/attention)
- Small dots or dashes around the ring (representing notifications being temporarily muted or deprioritized)
- Alternative: A person sitting, reading, or in meditation pose
- Style: Filled or Outlined
- Scale: Should be recognizable at 24dp to 48dp
Concept Variations
- Head with focus ring: Simple head silhouette with a circular ring around it
- Person in meditation: Seated person with a glow/focus aura
- Head with "tunnel vision": Head shape with inward-focused lines or arrows
- Head with muted notifications: Head with crossed-out notification dots around it
