Applying knot selection

Hi, I was wondering if you have any suggestions for the implementation of the algorithms for knot selection. You suggested this paper and I don't know how to implement this without going into the backend of Meridian library.

Unfortunately we cannot assist in implementing a knot selection algorithm and we don't currently support one in Meridian. However, you can find advice on knot selection on our documentation page. I can suggest using scipy.signal.find_peaks you can play around parameters of distance and prominence to get a list of knots based on the criteria you choose (this can be dynamic as well). This technique is useful for peaks but also for natural dips, be careful with the total number of knots if you are in a national model.
