I'd just like to say thank you for the awesome work on
read_fonts
,write_fonts
andskrifa
. I started working on an open source font editor over at https://github.com/shift-editor/shift and tonight I was able to load and render OTF/TTF, pretty easily!It would of been a much more gargantuan task but the work on
skrifa
made it a lot easier. Shift uses Tauri (which in turn uses Rust on the backend), so seeing support for font tooling in Rust is great, and I'll be leaning on these tools for sure.Below is a demo of me opening
Liverpool.ttf
, a remake based on the old school Mac typefaces, which I found here, was exciting to see it on my screen :^).liverpool-demo.mp4
