Mission 1 - Recording with external battery only and NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable

I try to utilize my GoPro Mission 1 camera in conjunction with NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable while capturing video/audio when flying.
When I power the Mission 1 with only the external battery (no internal battery or NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable) it is successful and records without issue for hours.
When I plug in the NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable and use the external battery (without internal battery) the Mission 1 powers up briefly (a couple of seconds) then shuts down.
I then installed GoPro Labs firmware on the Mission 1 and installed the QR code !MTUSB=1 on the camera, still briefly powers up then shuts down.

The reason I installed the GoPro Labs with QR code !MTUSB=1 on the GoPro Mission 1 is that I also have a GoPro Black 13 that I have used with the same NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable. I ran into the same problem using the NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable on my GoPro Black 13 when trying to run on external battery only, when I installed the GoPro Labs QR code TUSB on the GoPro Black 13, the problem went away. I was able to successfully use the NFlightCam Aviation Audio + Power Cable on my GoPro Black 13 using only external battery power.

Check your power source and cable. I had same issue and had to get a different usb c pigtail that I had been using on my hero 13.
