Docs: Streamline plugin examples

Are there too many plugin examples? Do we need them all? We could benefit from streamlining our example offerings and making sure that we are providing/maintaining only the most useful ones.

At the same time, we may want to think about how to harmonize these examples with the tutorials offered on the plugin-tools website. We could make tutorials based on the examples, or create new examples based on tutorials.
