local maptiler server not displaying any map

I tried using the Geomap panel with a local maptiler server (in a private network), but it doesnt display the base map (but did draw circles from a db). I then tried accessing the map thru an iframe in a text panel and it did work. Are there permissions I'm missing?

• I tried both the XYZ Tile Layer and ArcGIS with a Custom mapserver, with the url http://127.0.0.1:3650/api/tiles/planet_map#{z}/{y}/{x} format.
• I tried having the tileserver on the same machine as the grafana server.
