Add support for graphql v17

Hi 👋

A new major version of the graphql package has been released (v17). Are there any plans to add support for this?

We are currently using the latest v7 of graphql-request and are unable to upgrade to v17 of graphql due to a conflicting peer dependency.

We're in exactly the same situation as @PhilMcVay: we're on the latest v7 of graphql-request and blocked from upgrading to graphql v17 because of the conflicting peer dependency.

Just a friendly nudge to see if there's any update or a rough timeline on this. I noticed the repo hasn't had a merged PR in about 7 months, so I wanted to check in on the current state of the project:

• Are there plans to add graphql v17 support?
• Is the project still actively maintained, or is it currently on hold?
• If maintainer bandwidth is the blocker, would a community PR to bump the peer dependency range be welcome? We'd be happy to help test it.

No pressure at all — just trying to plan our own upgrade path. Thanks again for all the work on this project 🙂
