As briefly touched upon in "How to make offsite backup? #576", an automatic backup system similar to that of HAOS would be a wonderful addition to the recently added feature #1311.
Describe the solution you'd like
First of all, it would be nice to be able to decide exactly what should be backed up; after all, some people only want to back up the family tree itself, while others also want to back up all the associated media, and so on:
In that case, a backup cycle is also important for an automated backup, which also needs to be configured:
And finally, the storage location itself. Personally, WebDAV, specifically via Nextcloud, would suffice for me, but others might prefer a local setup or Google Drive; though, of course, I wouldn't know if that would make the development process overly complex:
